MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been meeting with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of small companies in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He added: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of market going it does need just a bit of lift which comes in the form of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
